Dear friends and colleagues in playback theatre!
We are pleased to invite you to the first forum of playback practitioners from the Baltic region, which will take place on October 12-13, 2024, in Liepaja, Latvia. We are expecting participants primarily from Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, as well as colleagues from Poland and Scandinavia.
Who is invited?
We invite leaders of playback theatres, participants, independent practitioners, and trainers from Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. This event is for everyone interested in the development of playback theatre in our region.
Goals of the meeting:
- To bring together all interested parties, participants, leaders of theatres, independent practitioners, and trainers to discuss relevant issues regarding the development of playback practice in the region.
- To get acquainted and discuss current processes in the playback community of the Baltic region, and to define the directions for the development of the Baltic Playback School.
- To discuss how the school can support your projects, what courses and programs may be useful for participants, and to lay the groundwork for the development, expansion, and creation of new collaborative projects. We want to learn what is happening in your theatres and how the school can support and enhance your processes.
Expected outcomes:
- Strengthening the Baltic playback community.
- Clear strategies for the further development of the School and community.
- Coordinated activities among all participants and players in the playback space of the Baltic region.
- Professional support from like-minded individuals.
This meeting is an opportunity to strengthen our connections, share ideas, and spend time in the company of like-minded individuals. We look forward to creating something special and beneficial for the development of playback theatre in our region together. We are confident that this will be an unforgettable event, full of inspiration and new ideas! Come, participate, share, and develop playback practice with us!
