Psychodrama as a method
Psychodrama draws on three connected methods:
- Psychodrama itself involves the exploration and management of one’s own internal roles.
- Sociometry – a method for measuring interpersonal relationships that arise within a group during human interactions.
- Group therapy offers the opportunity to explore one’s internal psychological processes by actively participating in a group, reflecting a part of the real world in which people live.
People are social beings who need others around them to feel their own value and connection to society. Psychodrama has numerous variations. Its techniques are applied not only in group work with adults and children but also individually, using various objects that play the role of auxiliary egos.
Our programmes
Currently, the Baltic School of Playback Theatre and Psychodrama offers programmes including:
Training psychodramatists
Students from various countries can receive quality psychodramatic education from top masters of psychodrama. Training occurs in person during 5-day training modules held four times a year, every three months.
Training in psychodramatic thinking skills for life
Mastery of autodrama techniques and their application in everyday situations contributes to a more stable position and enhances overall quality of life. Training is conducted both online and in person.
Supervision groups
Supervisors at the school have years of experience practising psychodrama and create a supportive, friendly environment in which psychodrama specialists discuss work difficulties and refine their professional skills. Supervision groups are conducted both online and in person.
