Why this trip matters

This October, 20 teenagers from Liepāja are travelling to Tallinn for the 3rd Baltic Playback Theatre Gathering (10–11 October 2026) — two days of live theatre, masterclasses and meeting peers from across the Baltics.

Playback Theatre is live, improvised theatre built from real personal stories. For teenagers it builds empathy, listening, teamwork and the confidence to speak in front of others. For many of our young people this is the first experience of this scale in their lives — and we want it to be free for every child, whatever their family can afford.

Where the money goes

We are raising €6,300 to cover the whole trip:

The trainers are experienced Playback practitioners who specialise in work with teenagers — originally from Ukraine, now living in Vilnius. They work on an almost voluntary basis: the host side covers only the hall, so we are raising their travel, accommodation and a minimal fee.

You can support the trip in full or in part — every contribution brings these kids one step closer to the bus.

What we offer in return. As a public benefit organisation we can issue documents for tax relief on your donation. We’re also glad to place your logo in the trip materials, thank you across our social media and website (published in several languages), and send you a photo and video report after the forum.
